Permissions

Share server access in the RespawnHost panel: Invite friends, co-admins, or team members by email without handing over login credentials.

Permissions in the Game Server Panel

The Permissions tab lets you share your server with other RespawnHost users — without giving out your password or login. Each invited person signs in with their own RespawnHost account.

Share Your Server

  1. Open the Permissions tab
  2. Click Share Server
  3. Enter the email address of the RespawnHost account you want to share with
  4. Confirm with Share

The invited person sees your server immediately in their dashboard — as an additional server alongside their own.

What a Shared User Can Do

Shared users have full panel access to the server while the permission is active:

  • Start, stop, restart the server
  • Read the console and run commands
  • File manager: edit, upload, and download files
  • Backups: create, restore, download
  • Use schedules, databases, and marketplace
  • Edit configuration

What a Shared User Cannot Do

Owner-specific actions stay with the original server owner:

  • Billing — only the owner sees costs and transactions
  • Delete or cancel the server — owner only
  • Upgrade/downgrade the package — owner only
  • Invite further users — only the owner manages permissions

Remove Access

  1. Open the Permissions tab
  2. Find the user in the list
  3. Click Remove
  4. Confirm — the user loses access immediately

Revoked permissions take effect immediately. Active console sessions are terminated.

Use Cases

  • Co-admin for your community — moderator can kick and tweak config, but doesn’t see billing
  • Developer access — plugin developer can test files without charging your account
  • Vacation coverage — a friend can restart the server while you’re away
  • Content creators — streamer gets live access for events

Security Notes

  • Only share with people you trust. Shared users can read and modify all server files.
  • The invited person needs their own RespawnHost account using this email. If none exists yet, they must register first.
  • There are no granular roles (e.g. “console only”, “files only”). Shared = full access.

Free and Unlimited

At RespawnHost you can invite any number of people — no extra charge, no slot limit. Ideal for clans, community teams, and developer circles.

FAQ

Question: Can the invited user see my payment details?

No. Billing, credit, and transactions are visible only to the owner.

Question: Can I grant granular rights (e.g. console only)?

Not currently. Shared users have full access to server functions but no owner actions (delete, billing, package).

Question: How many users can I invite?

Unlimited. There is no cap.

Question: The user can’t find the email address in the panel — what now?

The person must first create a RespawnHost account with exactly that email. Then the permission becomes active.

Question: Can the user change my Minecraft account password?

No. Permissions only apply to the RespawnHost panel. Your RespawnHost login stays private.

Question: What happens to shared users when I cancel my server?

The server is deleted and disappears from every shared user’s dashboard.
