Marketplace
Modpacks, mods, templates, and installed content in the RespawnHost panel: 1-click installation from CurseForge, Modrinth, Forge, Fabric, NeoForge, and server templates.
Marketplace in the Game Server Panel
The Marketplace tab is your central hub for content: modpacks, individual mods, server templates, and an overview of everything already installed. One click, no file manager, no JAR downloads from shady sources.
The marketplace is split into four sub-tabs.
1. Modpacks
For supported games (Minecraft), the Modpacks tab offers a curated library:
- Search by name (e.g. “All the Mods”, “RLCraft”, “SkyFactory”, “Pixelmon”)
- Filter by modloader (Forge, Fabric, Quilt, NeoForge), category, and game version
- Sort by downloads, featured, popularity, updated, release date, name, author
- Infinite scroll through the entire CurseForge/Modrinth library
Clicking a modpack tile opens the detail modal — you pick the version and start the install. The panel downloads the files and installs all mods plus configuration automatically.
2. Mods
For games with per-mod support, the Mods tab shows thousands of individual mods from Modrinth, CurseForge, and other sources.
- Search and sort by downloads, relevance, updated, newest, name, followers
- Filter by source, modloader, game version
- Tile grid with icons, infinite scroll
Every mod has an Install button. Installed mods land in your server’s mods/ folder and load on the next start.
3. Templates
The Templates tab is game-specific and shows every server template available for your game. Examples:
- Minecraft: Paper, Spigot, Vanilla, Forge, Fabric, NeoForge, Purpur, Folia, Waterfall, Velocity, Bedrock, Geyser, PocketMine
- Arma Reforger: Arma Reforger Dedicated
- Hytale: Hytale Dedicated
Each template card lists the name, the number of available versions, and the latest version. Clicking opens the Template Install Modal:
- Pick a version (dropdown with all versions, e.g. Minecraft 1.26.1, 1.21.4, 1.20.1)
- Optional: enable the Create backup before install checkbox
- Click Install
⚠️ Important: A template install resets the server and deletes all files. World, plugins, and configuration are gone. Enable the backup option or create a backup manually before installing.
Use cases:
- Switch from Spigot to Paper without ordering a new server
- Downgrade from Minecraft 1.21 to 1.20.1 for plugin compatibility
- Move from Vanilla to Forge for mod support
4. Installed
The Installed tab lists every modpack, mod, and template currently active on your server.
- Top counter:
{n} installed · {n} updates available - Update All button — brings everything to the latest version in one step
- Per entry: Update button (if an update is available) and Uninstall button
Updates run sequentially. While updating, the button shows a spinner and is disabled.
Marketplace vs. Manual Install
| Action | Marketplace | Manual |
|---|---|---|
| Install a modpack | Click, 2-5 minutes | JAR downloads, uploads, config tweaks |
| Update a mod | One click | Download/upload each |
| Switch template | One click (with backup option) | Order a new server |
| Install a plugin | Only marketplace mods via panel | Upload via File Manager |
For Minecraft plugins (Paper, Spigot, BungeeCord), keep using the File Manager — plugins live in the plugins/ folder and are managed via upload or SFTP.
Content Sources
- CurseForge — Minecraft modpacks and mods
- Modrinth — modern open-source community, mods + modpacks
- FTB (Feed the Beast) — curated modpacks
- Hangar — Paper team’s plugin repository (where available)
Every download goes through official API endpoints of the respective platform. No unofficial mirrors, no modified JARs.
FAQ
Question: Does the marketplace cost extra?
No. All installs are free. You only pay for your server’s runtime via pay-per-use.
Question: I install a modpack but I already have a world — what happens?
Without a backup the world is lost. Enable Create backup before install in the modal.
Question: Can I install my own modpack (e.g. local ZIP)?
Not currently via the marketplace. Use the File Manager or SFTP to upload your own files.
Question: Are templates available for Arma Reforger and Hytale too?
Yes — game-specific. See Arma Reforger Setup and Hytale Setup.
Question: My mod isn’t in the marketplace. Now what?
Upload manually via file manager. The marketplace covers Modrinth/CurseForge — custom mods from GitHub builds are not included.
Question: How often are the modpack/mod lists updated?
In real time. The marketplace queries source APIs live.
