PumpkinMC Server Guides

Pumpkin is a Minecraft server written entirely in Rust — no Java, no JVM, a single executable file. The project is licensed under GPLv3 and developed openly on GitHub. RespawnHost is an official hosting partner.

Everything about your PumpkinMC server at RespawnHost:

Warning

Pumpkin is under active development. The project itself states: "Pumpkin is currently under heavy development." Mobs, entity AI, redstone and advancements are unfinished. For a production survival server with a plugin ecosystem, Paper remains the safer choice — for experiments, lobbies, minigames and performance tests, Pumpkin is already worth a look.

What RespawnHost recommends

Take Pumpkin for what it is today: an extremely lean server that starts in an instant and uses very little memory. We recommend 1 GB of RAM to start with — Pumpkin itself needs hardly more than that, the rest goes into world and players. If you are planning a large survival world with farms, mobs and redstone, a classic Minecraft server is the better fit right now.
