Can I create my own Fitnacraft server?
Yes. The official Fitnacraft server is invitation-only, but you can rebuild the format with your own community. All you need is a Minecraft Java server with a whitelist and PvP enabled. At RespawnHost the server is ready in under 90 seconds, and configuration, plugins and a test run take roughly another half hour.
| Step | Time | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Pick a plan and create the server | 2 minutes | Choose RAM and location, the server is set up automatically |
| 2. Set the server type to Paper | 2 minutes | Best performance for group projects with plugins |
3. Configure server.properties | 5 minutes | PvP on, whitelist on, spawn protection off |
| 4. Fill the whitelist | 5 minutes | Add every participant before the address goes public |
| 5. Install plugins | 10 minutes | CoreProtect, voice chat, map, anticheat |
| 6. Pre-generate and test | 15 minutes | Run Chunky, join once with the full group |
10 percent off with the code FITNACRAFT
The code FITNACRAFT takes 10 percent off Minecraft servers at RespawnHost. It applies to fixed plans and does not stack with the term discount, whichever is larger applies. It therefore pays off most on the 30-day term.
How much RAM does a Fitnacraft server need?
Requirements follow group size. What matters is not the everyday load but launch night, when everyone joins at once and runs off in different directions. That is the real stress test.
| Participants | Project character | Recommended plan | Price per month |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 to 10 | Group of friends | 4 GB | €8.00 |
| 10 to 20 | First factions, good dynamics | 6 GB | €11.39 |
| 20 to 30 | Genuine Fitnacraft feel | 8 GB | €15.20 |
| 30 to 50 | Large project needing moderation | 12 GB | €21.60 |
Prices as of 1 September 2026
These are monthly prices on the 30-day term. Longer terms lower the effective monthly price, by 20 percent on 360 days. Alternatively you can bill per second with pay-per-use, where an 8 GB server costs around €0.058 per hour and only while it runs. Current pricing is on the Minecraft Server Hosting page.
Why not just take the biggest plan? Because more RAM does not raise TPS. Above roughly 16 GB the Java VM’s garbage collector gets less efficient, and the limiting factor on project servers is CPU anyway. Details are in How much RAM does a Minecraft server need?.
Step 1: Create the server
You create the server directly on respawnhost.com, not in the dashboard:
- Select Minecraft
- Choose a RAM plan. You pay for memory only, while CPU with 6 vCores under fair use, 30 GB NVMe storage and unlimited player slots are included
- Choose a location: Frankfurt am Main for a European group, Salt Lake City for US participants
- Click Create server. Provisioning usually takes under 90 seconds
The server then sits at Offline. That is intentional: configure first, start second. With pay-per-use, costs begin when you start it.
Step 2: Choose Paper as the server type
For a project with 20 or more people and plugins, Paper is the right choice. It is considerably more efficient than Vanilla and supports every Bukkit and Spigot plugin you need for rule enforcement. Fabric or Forge only make sense if your group genuinely wants mods, and then every participant has to install the same mods, which is where most launch nights fall apart.
You set the server type in the panel and can change it later. The comparison table is in Minecraft server types compared.
Step 3: Apply the configuration
In the panel under Configuration, or directly in server.properties via the file manager:
pvp=true
difficulty=hard
white-list=true
enforce-whitelist=true
spawn-protection=0
online-mode=true
allow-flight=false
max-players=30
view-distance=8
simulation-distance=6
motd=Our project - launch Sunday 7pm
view-distance=8 instead of the default 10 sounds minor, but it saves performance exactly where it gets tight when everyone joins at once. The panel assigns the port automatically, so leave it alone.
Whitelist first
Once your server address has been visible in a stream or a clip, everyone has it. Enable the whitelist and add every participant before the server runs publicly for the first time. Add players in the console tab with /whitelist add name.
Step 4: Install plugins
Via the Marketplace in the panel with one click, or manually as .jar files in the plugins/ folder:
| Plugin | Why it is mandatory on a project server |
|---|---|
| CoreProtect | Logs every block change, settles disputes and reverses griefing via rollback |
| Simple Voice Chat | Proximity voice chat. Conversations happen in-game instead of in separate Discord rooms, which changes the dynamic completely |
| Chunky | Pre-generates the world so launch night is not spent loading chunks |
| LuckPerms | Controls who may moderate and who may not |
| BlueMap or Dynmap | Live browser map where viewers watch faction territory in real time |
| Vulcan or a comparable anticheat | Only needed once strangers or competition are involved |

Voice chat needs an extra port
Simple Voice Chat uses UDP port 24454 by default, and the Minecraft port alone is not enough. Open a support ticket to find out which additional port is available for your server and enter it in the plugin configuration.
Step 5: Prepare the world
- Pre-generate:
/chunky radius 3000and/chunky startin the console. It takes a while but prevents the lag spikes that hit when 25 people run in 25 directions at once. - Set the seed: if you want a specific starting landscape, set
level-seedbefore the first start. After that it only works with a new world. - Set up backups: daily, plus one manual backup right before launch. In a format where destruction is allowed, this is the most important safety net you have. See Server backups.
Step 6: Share the address
The server detail page shows IP and port. A custom address such as project.yourdomain.com is nicer, and for that you set up an SRV record as described in Using your own domain. For a project with an audience it pays off twice: the address is memorable, and you can move to another server later without anyone changing anything.
Launch-night checklist
- Whitelist contains every participant, with correctly spelled names
- Test run completed with at least half the group, at least a day ahead
- Voice chat works for everyone, port is open
- World pre-generated, backup taken right before launch
- Rule text written and read by everyone, see Fitnacraft rules
- Clear who decides in a dispute
- Server running and warmed up at least 30 minutes before launch
What RespawnHost recommends
For the typical project size of 20 to 25 people, the 8 GB plan on Paper fits best: enough headroom for launch night without paying for RAM that never gets used. If the project only runs in the evenings, pay-per-use is considerably cheaper than a fixed plan, because a stopped server costs nothing. If it runs around the clock, a fixed plan on a long term is the better deal.

FAQ
Question: How do I create a Fitnacraft server?
Order a Minecraft server on respawnhost.com, choose Paper as the server type, enable PvP and the whitelist in server.properties, then install CoreProtect and a voice chat plugin. Provisioning takes under 90 seconds.
Question: What does your own Fitnacraft server cost?
For a group of 20 to 30 people an 8 GB plan at €15.20 per month is enough, as of September 2026. The code FITNACRAFT takes another 10 percent off. With pay-per-use you pay around €0.058 per hour, and only while the server runs.
Question: How many players fit on such a server?
Slots are unlimited at RespawnHost, RAM is what matters. 8 GB comfortably carries a project with 20 to 30 active players.
Question: Do I need mods for a Fitnacraft-style project?
No. Vanilla gameplay on Paper with a few plugins is plenty. Mods add effort because every participant has to install them.
Question: How do I keep strangers off the server?
Use white-list=true and enforce-whitelist=true in server.properties. Set it before the address becomes visible on stream.
Question: Can I run the server only on project evenings?
Yes. With pay-per-use, costs accrue only while the server runs. Stopped it costs nothing and the world is preserved.
Question: Which Minecraft version should I pick?
The latest stable Java version your plugins support. Settle this before launch, because switching versions mid-project costs unnecessary nerves.
Your own Minecraft server?
At 3 hours a day that is about €2.67 a month. Billed by the second: server off, costs off.
- No subscription, no minimum term
- Balance does not expire while your account exists
- Online in under 90 seconds
