When does Enshrouded 1.0 release?

Enshrouded is leaving Early Access: version 1.0 launches on October 15, 2026 for PC and PlayStation 5. The Xbox version follows in spring 2027. That ends an Early Access phase of over two and a half years for Keen Games — and kicks off the most exciting stretch since launch for server admins.

What is confirmed for 1.0?

  • New world content “beyond Embervale” — the journey continues past the Embervale we know
  • Adventure Sharing — a new feature around shared adventures
  • Combat rework — the combat system is being overhauled

Warning: crossplay is NOT confirmed

Crossplay between PC and consoles is not confirmed for the 1.0 release — Keen Games merely calls it a "long-term goal". Whether console players can join dedicated servers is also officially unconfirmed. Keep planning your server as a PC server.

What does the 1.0 release mean for servers?

What can reliably be said today:

  • The slot maximum stays at 16 players unless Keen announces otherwise — configuration details in the configuration guide.
  • Release days are update days: the dedicated server (Steam app 2278520) receives its 1.0 update via Steam as usual — automatically at RespawnHost.
  • Create a backup before release day. Whether and how existing Early Access worlds carry over to 1.0 has not been documented in detail by Keen yet — with a backup you’re safe either way.
  • Release = rush: the 1.0 launch (plus the PS5 community) will push player numbers up noticeably — the best moment to start a fresh world with friends.
