The official minimum is 8 GB — our entry package comes with 10 GB, enough for the early game (up to ~500 machines). From Tier 5-7 with around 1,500 machines we recommend 12 GB, and for late-game factories the officially recommended 16 GB. Mega-bases with mods need 24-32 GB.

Yes, absolutely! The easiest way is to upload your savegame directly in the game via the Server Manager. Alternatively, copy the `.sav` file via SFTP or file manager into the server's save folder and select the savegame in the server settings.

Yes, you can switch between the stable version and the Experimental branch — where Coffee Stain previews upcoming updates — in our panel at any time. Note, however, that Experimental versions can be more unstable.

Officially, Satisfactory supports 4 players. On your server, the easiest way to raise the limit is the "[Experimental] Maximum player count" startup variable in our panel — alternatively via `MaxPlayers=8` in the `Game.ini`. Up to about 8 players this usually works fine; beyond that it depends heavily on factory size.

By default, the server pauses the game when no player is online to save resources. However, you can change this in the server settings so that the factory continues to run even without players (Attention: This continues to consume CPU/RAM).

When connecting to the server for the first time, you will be asked to set an admin password. After that, you can authenticate yourself as admin in the game via the 'Server Manager' menu with this password and change settings.

Steam and Epic players can connect to the same dedicated server without problems. The console versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S (released November 4, 2025), however, do not support crossplay with PC and cannot join dedicated servers.

The server performs regular autosaves (default is every 5 minutes). You can adjust this interval in the server settings. Longer intervals can reduce the short 'lag spikes' when saving large saves.

Lags in the late-game are often due to the CPU limitation of the game itself or too little RAM. Check the RAM usage in the panel. If it is at the limit, an upgrade helps. Reducing unnecessary conveyor belts or enclosing factories can also help.

Satisfactory Dedicated Servers support mods (via the Satisfactory Mod Manager / ficsit.app), but support is still experimental and can be complicated. We offer SFTP access so you can install mods manually, but do not provide direct support for mod problems.

The savegames are located in the directory `.config/Epic/FactoryGame/Saved/SaveGames/server`. You can download them via SFTP at any time to back them up locally or play in singleplayer.

Our system automatically checks for updates at startup. If a new update comes from Coffee Stain Studios, you just have to restart your server.

Yes, our servers always run the latest version of the game — patch 1.1 improved save performance, among other things. Updates from Coffee Stain Studios are installed automatically when the server restarts.

Yes, you can adjust the network settings in the `Engine.ini` or `Game.ini` to increase the tickrate and bandwidth. This can help with connection problems but requires more CPU power and bandwidth.

The entry package Pioneer Starter with 10 GB RAM costs 18.00 € per month as a fixed package — up to 20% less with a longer term (90/180/360 days), so from 10.08 €/month. Alternatively, with Pay-per-Use you pay around 0.0719 € per hour only while the server is running: 4 gaming sessions of 4 hours each cost about 1.15 € per month.

The server stops, but your data remains safe. As soon as you top up balance again, you can start the server and continue exactly where you left off.

You can select 'Create Game' in the Server Manager in the game to create a new world with a specific starting area and session name.

Yes, you can activate the Advanced Game Settings when creating a new world or subsequently (via save editors or console commands) to e.g. allow flight mode or deactivate build costs.

We have servers in Germany and in USA (Salt Lake City).

You can set up manual or automatic backups in the panel for a small fee. Especially before big rebuilds, a manual backup is worth it — an accidentally demolished main factory is otherwise gone.
