Windrose admin commands: what works (and what doesn't)
Does Windrose have admin or console commands? The honest state: no in-game commands in the Early Access build — here's how to manage your server instead.

Does Windrose have admin commands?
Short answer: no. In the current Early Access build (as of July 2026), Windrose has no in-game admin commands and no server console. There’s no /kick, no /ban, no restart command, no RCON and no in-game admin login. This is officially confirmed and likely to change only later in Early Access, once the developers add “proper” admin features.
Beware of invented command lists
"Complete Windrose console command lists" with spawn, teleport and item commands circulate online. These lists come from auto-generated guide pages and are fabricated — they don't work and contradict the official information. Don't type them into the game.
So how do you manage your server?
Server control in Windrose runs through files and the panel, not live commands. Everything you need to manage happens in two places:
1. Through the RespawnHost panel
- Start / stop / restart the server
- Schedule automatic restarts via the task scheduler
- Create and restore backups
- View logs
- Edit config files in the File Manager
2. Through the config files

Note
Changes to config files only take effect after a server restart. Never edit the files while the server is running.
What about the developer console (the ~ key)?
Windrose runs on Unreal Engine 5, which has a developer console in general. In Windrose this console is disabled in the default build. There’s only an unofficial community mod that enables it — more on that in Windrose mods. You don’t need it for normal server operation.
Frequently asked questions
How do I become admin on my Windrose server? There’s no classic in-game admin system (yet). Being “admin” in Windrose means having access to your server’s panel and config files — i.e. start/stop, backups and the JSON settings.
Can I kick or ban players? Not via a command. You control access through the invite code and password. To keep someone out, change the invite code and share the new one only with the crew you want.
Are admin commands coming? Likely yes — the developers have signalled more admin features for later in Early Access. This article will be updated as they become available.
