In the ServerSettings.ini, SpawnerProbabilityMultiplier (world loot) and ExamineSpawnerProbabilityMultiplier (searching containers) control the loot amount — 2.0 doubles the loot. Fine-tuning is done via JSON presets in the Loot folder.

By default yes. With MaxAllowedSentriesInWorld you limit their number (default -1 = all spawners active, 0 = no mechs), and with SentryDamageMultiplier you adjust their damage.

The default is 64 players; via scum.MaxPlayers up to 128 slots are configurable. With the July 2026 update Gamepires is also officially testing 80 players. For full servers we recommend 24–32 GB RAM (our packages go up to 32 GB).

Yes, you can define zones where PvP is disabled, or set the whole server to PvE and only allow certain PvP zones.

As admin via chat command: #ListItems {search term} gives you the item ID, #SpawnItem {ID} {amount} spawns the item. There's also #SpawnVehicle for vehicles and #SpawnAnimal for animals.

Yes, as Admin you see the positions of all players on the map (if enabled) and can teleport.

You can't turn it off completely, but you can influence via the server settings how strongly needs like hunger, thirst and stamina affect your prisoner.

You can adjust the time-lapse via scum.TimeOfDaySpeed or set the time directly as admin, e.g. with #SetTime 8.

Via scum.MaxAllowedPuppets you set the cap — the default is -1 (unlimited), and a limit noticeably relieves full servers. Make them tougher or weaker with PuppetHealthMultiplier.

Yes, bases, vehicles, and characters are saved. There are no automatic wipes unless the game update forces it.

Yes, via the Admin Menu you can kick players or ban them permanently.

SCUM has no official mod or Steam Workshop support (as of July 2026). Customization runs through the ServerSettings.ini with over 400 values and the JSON loot system — which is more powerful than it sounds.

With #SetGodMode True you become invulnerable as admin — for that, your SteamID64 in the AdminUsers.ini needs the [SetGodMode] suffix.

No. SCUM is a Windows PC game on Steam only — there is no console version (as of July 2026) and therefore no crossplay.

You can set a password (scum.ServerPassword) or activate a whitelist to only allow selected players.
