Eco typically runs with 10-30 players per world. Larger worlds with an active economy and politics can host 50-80+ players – depending on hardware and world size.

For 5-10 players, 4-8 GB is enough. For 20-30 players with active politics and economy, we recommend 12-16 GB. For 50+ players and large worlds, 20-24 GB.

Players can write constitutions, hold elections, pass laws, and impose taxes. It all runs permanently on the server – even when no players are online.

Yes. Stores, contracts, and automated trades keep running as long as the server is online. That's why we recommend 24/7 servers for active Eco worlds.

Yes. Eco has a .NET plugin system; you can upload mods to the mods folder via SFTP. Updates and configuration through the web interface.

Yes. Via the server config you freely choose world size, biomes, animal behavior, meteor difficulty, skill rates, and economy multipliers.

We create automatic backups. You can also create manual snapshots and restore any backup with one click from the web interface – important before big legislative changes.

The server stops automatically. World, characters, laws, contracts, and economy data are preserved. After topping up, everything continues right where you left off.
