Which ports does a GMod server use?

The default is port 27015 UDP for game and query traffic, RCON runs over 27015 TCP. At RespawnHost the ports are preconfigured — nothing to open manually.

How do I install addons?

Create a collection in the Steam Workshop and enter the ID in the start parameters (`+host_workshop_collection`). The collection must be public or unlisted — the server then downloads everything automatically.

How do I change the gamemode?

In the start parameters you can set the gamemode (e.g., `+gamemode terrortown` for TTT or `darkrp` for DarkRP).

Do I need CSS Content?

Many maps and addons use textures from Counter-Strike: Source. You can mount the content on the server (in the `mount.cfg`) so that no errors (Purple/Black) occur.

How do I become admin (ULX)?

Install ULX and ULib. Then enter `ulx adduser [YourName] superadmin` in the server console.

How much RAM do I need?

For small TTT rounds, 4 GB is enough. For DarkRP with many addons and players, we recommend 8 GB or more.

How do I create a loading screen?

You can enter the URL to a website in the `server.cfg` (`sv_loadingurl`), which is displayed during loading.
