Romestead Server Hosting: Rebuild Rome from the ashes – together
Romestead by Beartwigs (published by Three Friends) is a survival townbuilder set in a stylized pixel-art Ancient Rome – in Steam Early Access since May 25, 2026 and past 400,000 players within its first weeks. Civilization has collapsed, the gods have gone silent, and at night the dead walk. By day you gather resources across four biomes (plains, forest, desert, volcanic), grow your camp into a working settlement, and awaken the Roman gods with offerings to earn unique buffs. With your own dedicated server from RespawnHost, you rebuild Rome with up to 7 friends (8 players total) – on a persistent world that keeps running even when nobody is online.
Why rent a Romestead server at RespawnHost?
Romestead has shipped free standalone dedicated server software since the Early Access launch – cross-platform for Windows and Linux (.NET 8) and fully configurable via config.json. The server runs without a player connected – ideal for persistent settlements that grow over weeks. We exclusively run modern AMD Ryzen CPUs in our German locations – with a 10 Gbit/s uplink and NVMe SSDs, so night hordes, town simulation, and survival mechanics stay smooth even at a full 8-player lobby.
A dedicated server solves the host problem: peer-to-peer sessions stop the moment the host goes offline, but your RespawnHost server runs permanently. Your teammates keep building the settlement, defending the walls, and gathering resources – even when you don't have time. Progress is stored centrally, automatic backups protect your world.
