Conan Exiles Enhanced is the free upgrade to Unreal Engine 5, released on Steam on May 5, 2026. It brings Lumen lighting, better performance, and Merged Worlds: the Exiled Lands and Isle of Siptah run on the same server simultaneously. Epic and console players remain on the Legacy version for now. Mod caveat: UE4 mods need to be updated for Enhanced by their authors.

Conan Exiles is an open-world survival game by Funcom set in the world of Conan the Barbarian. You start as an exile in a hostile world and must survive: gather resources, build a base, enslave thralls (NPCs), craft weapons and armor, and fight other players or AI enemies. The game features a deep building system, sorcery, dungeons with bosses, and various biomes from desert to snow.

For a vanilla server with few players, 6 GB RAM is sufficient. Servers with mods and 20-30 players should have 10-16 GB. Large servers with overhaul mods like Age of Calamitous, many bases, and 40+ players benefit from 20-32 GB. RAM usage increases with the number of structures, placed thralls, and loaded mods.

You can choose from three main maps. The Exiled Lands (original map, 31 km²) with desert, jungle, snow, and volcano. The Isle of Siptah (DLC expansion) with coastal regions, Elder Vaults, and the Maelstrom. And Savage Wilds (29 km² community mod map) with fast travel, NPC factions, and custom quests. You switch maps through the server settings.

Mods are installed via the Steam Workshop. In our control panel, enter the Workshop IDs of the desired mods. After a server restart, mods are automatically downloaded and activated. You can also adjust the mod load order in the panel. Important since Enhanced: old UE4 mods don't automatically run on the UE5 version - check the Workshop page to see whether the mod has been updated for Enhanced.

The most popular mods include: Pippi (admin and roleplay tools), Age of Calamitous (total conversion with new factions and content), EEWA (Endgame Extended Weapon Arsenal), Savage Wilds (mod map), Fashionist (cosmetic armor transmog), Emberlight (quality-of-life improvements), LBPR (Less Building Placement Restrictions), and Immersive Armor (armor expansion).

Thralls are NPCs you knock unconscious with blunt weapons and break on a Wheel of Pain. They serve as crafters at workbenches (improving recipes and crafting speed), warriors defending your base, or combat followers. Different NPC factions and named thralls have varying strengths. With the Age of Heroes update, thralls walk freely in your settlement, eat, and sleep.

PvP (Player vs Player): Players can attack each other anytime and destroy bases during raid windows. PvE (Player vs Environment): No player damage, no building destruction - focus on building and exploration. PvE-C (PvE Conflict): Buildings are protected, but players can fight each other during scheduled times. You set the mode in server settings and can change it at any time.

Set your admin password through our control panel or directly in the ServerSettings.ini. In-game, open settings, click 'Make Me Admin' and enter your password. You then have access to the admin panel with commands for teleporting, spawning items, invisibility, player management, and much more.

Raid windows (Building Damage Windows) are set in the server settings. You define on which days and at which times buildings can be destroyed. Outside these windows, all structures are protected. Most PvP servers use raid windows of 2-4 hours in the evening to prevent overnight destruction.

The purge system sends NPC attack waves against your base. Since Age of War, the system was completely overhauled: difficulty scales with your Clan Hoard (accumulated treasures). You defend your base against waves of the Stygian Empire. The purge system can be adjusted or disabled in server settings - frequency, intensity, and time windows are all configurable.

Yes, the sorcery system is available by default on all servers. Players sacrifice life force (Corruption) for powerful spells: summon demonic mounts, invisibility, lightning storm, teleportation, and more. You can adjust sorcery settings via the server config or restrict certain spells through mods.

Yes, our servers fully support all DLCs. Players who own DLCs (Isle of Siptah, Riders of Hyboria, Architects of Argos, etc.) can use the corresponding building pieces, armor, and weapons on the server. Bazaar items also work without restrictions. Note that Funcom has retired the Battle Pass - new content now arrives as free updates.

Through our control panel, you can adjust over 100 settings directly: harvest multiplier, XP rate, hunger and thirst speed, day-night cycle, thrall breaking speed, crafting speed, building damage multiplier, and much more. No need to manually edit config files.

Since Conan Exiles Enhanced, you don't even need to switch for the official maps: thanks to Merged Worlds, the Exiled Lands and Isle of Siptah run on the same server simultaneously, and players teleport between them with the same character. For mod maps like Savage Wilds you still switch the map in the server settings - best create a backup first.

Conan Exiles is available on PC (Steam, Epic), PlayStation, and Xbox. However, dedicated rental servers are only available for the PC version. Console players use official Funcom servers or create private sessions via the built-in co-op feature. Cross-play between PC and console is not supported.

RCON (Remote Console) enables remote management of your server via port 25575. You receive the IP, port, and password in your dashboard. With RCON tools, you can execute commands, ban players, spawn items, and manage the server without being in-game.

Conan Exiles officially supports up to 70 player slots. The optimal player count depends on your server package. For 10-20 players, our Starter package with 6 GB RAM is sufficient. For 30-50 players with mods, we recommend 16-20 GB. Large servers with 50-70 players and many mods should use 24-32 GB.

Customers can set up manual and automatic backups. This allows you to restore your server to an earlier state at any time if mods cause issues, an update breaks something, or you simply want to experiment.

Since 2022, Funcom has delivered major free content updates in themed Ages: Age of Sorcery (sorcery), Age of War (sieges, new purge system), and Age of Heroes (companions with questlines, Living Settlements). Starting July 21, 2026, Legacy of the Giant-Kings launches as a free four-part story arc for Conan Exiles Enhanced - part 1 leads into the Cyclopean Halls beneath the Unnamed City and brings back Legendary repair.

Absolutely. Many Conan Exiles servers don't run around the clock. If your server is only used in the evenings or on weekends, you save significantly with Pay-Per-Use compared to fixed monthly packages. And if your server does run 24/7, you pay at most the monthly rate - so there's no risk.

Yes, if your server needs more RAM (e.g., because new mods were installed or the player count has grown), you can upgrade to a higher package at any time. After a restart, the new performance is immediately available.

Our servers are located in Germany and in the USA (Salt Lake City). For European players, we recommend the German location for optimal latency.

Funcom regularly releases updates and patches. Our system automatically detects new updates. You only need to restart your server once after an update to install the new files. For major Age updates, we test compatibility beforehand.
