Maps: Exiled Lands, Isle of Siptah & Savage Wilds
The Exiled Lands is the original Conan Exiles map. Spanning roughly 31 km², a diverse landscape stretches from scorching desert through dense jungle to snow-capped mountain ranges and volcanic regions. Here you'll find iconic locations like the Unnamed City, the Volcano, the Jungle, and the Frost regions. This map offers the complete Conan Exiles content including all dungeons and world bosses.
The Isle of Siptah is a DLC expansion that offers a completely different setting. Coastal regions, mysterious Elder Vaults, and the Maelstrom - a supernatural storm at the center of the island - provide fresh challenges. Instead of finding thralls in the wild, you summon them via the Surge mechanic. Since Conan Exiles Enhanced, Merged Worlds lets the Exiled Lands and Isle of Siptah run on the same server simultaneously - players teleport between both maps with the same character, no server restart required.
Savage Wilds is a community-created mod map spanning roughly 29 km². It offers a fast travel system, custom NPC factions, and quests that don't exist on the official maps. Many roleplay and PvE communities prefer this map for its additional content and thoughtful world design.
The Thrall System: Enslave and Deploy NPCs
One of the core features of Conan Exiles is the thrall system. You knock out hostile NPCs with blunt weapons and break them on the Wheel of Pain. They then serve as crafters at workbenches (improving crafted items), warriors defending your base, or combat followers. Different NPC factions and named thralls offer varying strengths. On your server, you configure breaking speed, thrall limits per clan, and their damage and health multipliers.
Sorcery: The Age of Sorcery System
Since the Age of Sorcery update, Conan Exiles features a full sorcery system. Players sacrifice part of their life force (Corruption) to cast powerful spells: summon demonic mounts, use invisibility, unleash lightning storms on enemies, or teleport. Sorcery significantly expands the gameplay and shines particularly on roleplay servers.
Enhanced, Ages & New Content: Conan Exiles in 2026
Since 2022, Funcom has delivered major free content updates: the Age of Sorcery brought the sorcery system, the Age of War added sieges and the revamped purge system, and the Age of Heroes introduced companions with questlines and Living Settlements. The biggest step came on May 5, 2026 with Conan Exiles Enhanced - the free upgrade to Unreal Engine 5 with Lumen lighting, better performance, and Merged Worlds. The Battle Pass has been retired; instead, free story content keeps coming: starting July 21, 2026, Legacy of the Giant-Kings kicks off a four-part story arc whose first part leads into the Cyclopean Halls beneath the Unnamed City and brings back the long-requested Legendary repair.
