What is a Craft Attack server?

A Minecraft server in the style of the streamer project Craft Attack: survival with a whitelist, a shared spawn, voice chat and a Nether and End that are unlocked later. RespawnHost is not affiliated with the official project.

Is Simple Voice Chat already installed?

The setup assistant installs Simple Voice Chat and sets your server's free port. Every player also needs the Simple Voice Chat mod in their own client.

How do I unlock the End?

As operator with /function craftattack:end_freischalten. Until then, players entering the End are sent back to spawn. Open the Nether with /function craftattack:nether_freischalten.

When are the Nether and End opened in Craft Attack?

In season 13 the organisers opened the Nether three days after the start and the End almost two weeks later. On your server you open both by command whenever your group is ready.

Can players on a newer Minecraft version join?

Yes. The assistant installs ViaVersion so players on a newer version can join, even if there is no matching Paper build for them yet.

Can I convert my existing Minecraft server?

Yes. The server overview in the panel has a "Craft Attack setup" button. Your world and files are kept.

What happens when I reinstall?

The server is reinstalled from scratch and then set up as a Craft Attack server again automatically, with the same players on the whitelist and you as operator.

Does it work with Fabric or vanilla?

The data pack also runs on vanilla and Fabric. The assistant only installs Simple Voice Chat on Paper, Purpur or Spigot, which is why Paper is preselected.

Can I apply for the official Craft Attack?

No, participants are invited by the organisers. With your own server you can play the format with your group.

Craft Attack 14 has been running since 10 October 2026 with more than 110 creators. The official server is invitation only, but playing the format with your own group takes a few minutes. You order a Minecraft server, and the setup assistant turns it into a Craft Attack project: whitelist, Simple Voice Chat, spawn and locked dimensions.

Why your own Craft Attack server?

Craft Attack is about playing together: your own bases, a shared spawn with shops, events and community projects. That only works on a server that runs all the time and only lets your people in.

On a rented server the world keeps running even when the host is offline. Everyone plays whenever they want, and the farms keep working.

How the setup works

After ordering, the assistant opens. You enter your Minecraft name and your friends' names. The assistant configures server.properties, installs the Craft Attack data pack, installs Simple Voice Chat on a free port and starts the server. Existing servers can be set up the same way with the "Craft Attack setup" button in the overview.

Commands of the Craft Attack data pack

/function craftattack:setup builds the spawn plaza at your position and sets the world spawn
/function craftattack:nether_freischalten opens the Nether for everyone
/function craftattack:end_freischalten opens the End, until then players are sent back to spawn
/function craftattack:status shows what is open right now
/function craftattack:slowfall_aus switches off slow falling around spawn, slowfall_an switches it back on
nether_schliessen and end_schliessen lock the dimensions again

The data pack runs without a plugin on vanilla and Paper. It is built and tested for Minecraft 26.x. If you host it yourself, download it as a ZIP: craftattack-starter.zip.

How much does a Craft Attack server cost?

The smallest package starts at 4.50 € per month for 2 GB. For 20 to 30 players we recommend 8 GB of RAM. The code CRAFTATTACK takes 30 percent off prepaid packages and the first month of a subscription.

Open the Nether and End like the original

In the original, the Nether and End are closed at launch. In season 13 the organisers opened the Nether three days after the start and the End almost two weeks later with a custom dragon fight. That keeps the first phase about building together in the overworld.

On your server you decide. Until you type /function craftattack:nether_freischalten, no Nether portal takes anyone to the Nether. Anyone who reaches the End before you open it is sent back to spawn automatically.

Rules for your Craft Attack project

There is no public rulebook, but the principles from past seasons have proven themselves. Write them down for your group, for example in your Discord:

Other people's builds are off limits, except for agreed pranks
PvP only by agreement, for example in duels or events
No cheats, no duping, no X-ray texture packs
Farms at spawn belong to everyone
Decide beforehand who settles disputes

Build the spawn like Craft Attack

In Craft Attack the spawn is the meeting point: the participants' shops are there and events start there. /function craftattack:setup builds a 21 by 21 plaza with lanterns and a campfire at your position and sets the world spawn there.

If your spawn is high up, on a mountain or a floating island, slow falling helps: anyone on the platform floats down gently after jumping and only loses the effect after landing. /function craftattack:slowfall_aus switches it off.

Which Minecraft version for your project?

Orders get Paper in the newest stable version. With ViaVersion installed, players on a newer Minecraft version can still join, for example when Mojang releases an update and Paper is still catching up. You can change the version in the panel at any time and keep your world.

Proximity voice chat like the streamers

Many Craft Attack participants use proximity chat: you only hear players near you. The assistant installs Simple Voice Chat and sets a free port on your server. Every player installs the Simple Voice Chat mod in their client and presses V in game for the settings.
