Install Minecraft modpack servers in 5 clicks (Top modpacks May 2026)

ATM10, DawnCraft, Vault Hunters, Better MC, Ocean Outlast, Stacia Expert and more — install straight from the RespawnHost marketplace, no Forge setup, no SFTP, no tutorials.

Installing modpacks without knowing Forge

You found a sick modpack on CurseForge and now want to play it with friends. Until now that meant: find the right Java version, download Forge or NeoForge matching the MC version, grab the server pack, upload via SFTP, edit start.sh, tweak configs, port-forward — for some modpacks half a day of work.

At RespawnHost it now takes 5 clicks in the web panel marketplace:

  1. Order a server, pick pay-per-use
  2. Open the Marketplace tab on the server
  3. Search for the modpack (e.g. “ATM10”, “DawnCraft”, “Stacia Expert”)
  4. Click Install — we pull the server pack, mods, configs and matching Forge/NeoForge/Fabric version automatically
  5. Start — done, it’s running.

Behind the scenes: we hit the official CurseForge API, grab the modpack’s server pack, unpack it into the right directory, and adjust start.sh with the correct RAM value for your plan. No Java version juggling, no manual Forge setup.

How do I pick the right modpack?

Three questions help:

1. How much time do you want to invest?

  • 20-50 hours to endgame: Better MC, light adventure packs
  • 100-200 hours: ATM10, Enigmatica 10, DawnCraft
  • 200+ hours, endgame as a lifestyle: Vault Hunters, Stacia Expert, Crucial 2

2. Which genre do you like?

  • Tech and automation: ATM10, Enigmatica 10
  • RPG and story: DawnCraft, Prominence II
  • Roguelike / permadeath: RAD2
  • Skyblock: Crucial 2
  • Horror / adventure: Ocean Outlast
  • Family-friendly / chill: Better MC, Cobblemon

3. How many friends are playing?

  • 2-3 players: pick the modpack that matches your taste, RAM is usually 6-8 GB
  • 4-6 players: plan 8-12 GB RAM, ATM10 / DawnCraft / Vault Hunters scale well
  • 8-10 players: 12-16 GB, lighter modpacks are advisable (Better MC > Vault Hunters)

Modpack updates: who handles them?

When a modpack gets an update (e.g. ATM10 1.20 → 1.21), you can click Install Update in the marketplace — we pull the new version and keep your world and configs. Mod conflicts can still occur, so we recommend a backup before each update (panel → Backups → “Create backup”, one click).

Concrete recommendation

  • Modpack newcomer who wants something that just works → ATM10 or Better MC Fabric, 10-12 GB plan
  • You want story and RPG feel → DawnCraft or Prominence II, 12 GB plan
  • You want hardcore expert mode → Stacia Expert or Crucial 2, 12 GB plan
  • You want Pokemon with friends → Cobblemon pack, 8-10 GB plan
