Icarus Dedicated Server Hosting: Prospects & Open World without a host PC
Icarus by RocketWerkz drops you onto a terraformed exoplanet as a Prospector – facing storms, pressure drops, heat, cold, and native predators. Harvest exotic resources, complete Prospects, build your outpost – since March 2026 also in the third expansion, Dangerous Horizons. With your own dedicated server from RespawnHost, your crew plays together without anyone needing to be permanently online as host. Icarus is officially designed for 8-player co-op; on dedicated servers you can raise MaxPlayers beyond that since the Week 54 update.
Why rent an Icarus server at RespawnHost?
Icarus is CPU-intensive and benefits heavily from high single-core performance. We exclusively run modern AMD Ryzen CPUs in our German locations – not a shared mass-hoster hardware pool. The game simulates weather, AI, pressure zones, and persistent worlds simultaneously; on weak hardware, frame rates and tick rates collapse.
A dedicated server solves the host problem: peer-to-peer sessions stop the moment the host goes offline, but your RespawnHost server keeps running. Crewmates can build, hunt, and continue Prospects even if you are not there. Progress is stored centrally on NVMe SSDs, and automatic backups protect your world.
