Enshrouded hotfix 1.0.0.2 unlocks world settings again and fixes a server crash
The previous hotfix broke world settings by accident. This one puts them back, along with a pile of crash fixes.

Keen Games released Enshrouded hotfix 1.0.0.2 on 16 October, build 1269579. Its main job is undoing a problem the studio caused itself: since the previous hotfix, world settings couldn’t be configured. According to the changelog, that slipped in while Keen was fixing the misbehaving session lists in the multiplayer join menus.
The hotfix also deals with a rare crash during save migration to 1.0. The crash happened when the game tried to load a corrupted character save. Those characters are now simply skipped, so some players may find one missing from their character list. Keen says it is working on a fix that migrates and repairs corrupted characters at the same time. “If you are missing a character in your character list in the current version, please be patient,” the studio wrote, adding that help is on the way.
Other fixes from the changelog:
- A dense grey fog on Nvidia graphics cards, which showed up most often in the Hollow Halls, is gone.
- Factories no longer crash in rare cases when placed, and show the correct menu when you interact with them.
- Fast travelling or landing with a glider no longer crashes worlds with lots of entities such as enemies, survivors and mannequins.
- Subscribing to and browsing shared adventures through Adventure Share is more stable.
- Several crashes tied to water simulation, a completely full backpack and exiting the game are fixed.
- Skill tree descriptions for Aerial Wand Attack, Evasion Attack, Wand Evasion Attack and Crash Down Attack are corrected in several languages, with more to follow in the next patch.
One fix matters directly if you run a server. Fighting a very large number of enemies could crash it, which is the sort of thing that happens when a full group pulls everything in sight at once. The changelog also lists a rare crash connected to the Twitch link server.
Update your server and restart it so it matches the client build. If you were waiting to change world settings since the last hotfix, you can do that now. And if a character went missing after the move to 1.0, hold off on rolling a new one until the next patch arrives.
