The Bus: Hamburg's Route 17 now runs all the way to Karlshöhe
The Hamburg City DLC gets a longer Route 17 for free. Berne station will have to wait a little longer.

Route 17 in The Bus got longer on 12 October. An update for the Hamburg City DLC extends the line past its old terminus at Bramfelder Dorfplatz to the turning loop at Karlshöhe. It is out on Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and it costs nothing if you already own the Hamburg DLC.
The team had spent the past few weeks showing off individual spots along the new stretch. Now you can drive it yourself.
From Bramfelder Dorfplatz, the route follows Bramfelder Chaussee and Berner Chaussee down to Petzolddamm, where the Karlshöhe loop marks the new end of the line. According to the Steam post, the section adds a large number of buildings, shops and landmarks modelled on their real counterparts, from residential streets to shopping areas and service businesses.
The developers single out the new terminus for its level of detail. The petrol station and the houses around the turning loop were recreated with particular care, and a video of the full route is up on the studio’s YouTube channel.
Getting the update is simple. If the DLC is already installed, the new version arrives through the usual update function on Steam, PlayStation or Xbox. A fresh install downloads the extended Route 17 automatically.
Karlshöhe is not meant to be the final stop, either. The plan is to extend Route 17 further to Berne U-Bahn station later on. The Steam post gives no timeframe and warns that it will take a while. “Development efforts are currently focused on the two upcoming DLCs, Lübeck and London South, which have priority for now,” the announcement reads.
So Berne is on the map, just not on the timetable yet.
If you drive Hamburg with friends in multiplayer, it is worth checking that everyone has updated the DLC before the next shared shift.
