Frequently Asked Questions about Satisfactory Servers

Satisfactory is very RAM hungry. For the start (Tier 1-4), 10 GB RAM is often enough. But as soon as you build larger factories (Tier 5+), we strongly recommend 12 GB or 16 GB RAM to avoid lags and crashes. For Mega-Bases, even more is often necessary.

Yes, absolutely! You can simply upload your `.sav` file via SFTP or via the web interface to the folder `.config/Epic/FactoryGame/Saved/SaveGames/server`. Then select the savegame in the server settings.

Yes, you can switch between the stable Early Access version and the Experimental version in our panel at any time. Note, however, that Experimental versions can be more unstable.

Officially, Satisfactory supports 4 players in multiplayer. You can increase this limit in the config (`Game.ini`), but the game is not optimized for very many players, which can lead to performance problems. We recommend 4-8 players.

By default, the server pauses the game when no player is online to save resources. However, you can change this in the server settings so that the factory continues to run even without players (Attention: This continues to consume CPU/RAM).

When connecting to the server for the first time, you will be asked to set an admin password. After that, you can authenticate yourself as admin in the game via the 'Server Manager' menu with this password and change settings.

Yes, Satisfactory supports Crossplay between Steam and Epic Games. Since our servers are Dedicated Servers, players from both platforms can connect without problems.

The server performs regular autosaves (default is every 5 minutes). You can adjust this interval in the server settings. Longer intervals can reduce the short 'lag spikes' when saving large saves.

Lags in the late-game are often due to the CPU limitation of the game itself or too little RAM. Check the RAM usage in the panel. If it is at the limit, an upgrade helps. Reducing unnecessary conveyor belts or enclosing factories can also help.

Satisfactory Dedicated Servers support mods (via the Satisfactory Mod Manager / ficsit.app), but support is still experimental and can be complicated. We offer SFTP access so you can install mods manually, but do not provide direct support for mod problems.

The savegames are located in the directory `.config/Epic/FactoryGame/Saved/SaveGames/server`. You can download them via SFTP at any time to back them up locally or play in singleplayer.

Our system automatically checks for updates at startup. If a new update comes from Coffee Stain Studios, you just have to restart your server.

Yes, our servers always support the latest version of the game, including all engine upgrades (Unreal Engine 5) and new features.

Yes, you can adjust the network settings in the `Engine.ini` or `Game.ini` to increase the tickrate and bandwidth. This can help with connection problems but requires more CPU power and bandwidth.

The server stops, but your data remains safe. As soon as you top up balance again, you can start the server and continue exactly where you left off.

Yes, Satisfactory servers can also be attacked. Our permanent DDoS protection ensures that your connection remains stable.

Yes, you can change the server name directly in the game as admin in the Server Manager or set it in the startup parameters in the panel.

You can select 'Create Game' in the Server Manager in the game to create a new world with a specific starting area and session name.

Yes, you can activate the Advanced Game Settings when creating a new world or subsequently (via save editors or console commands) to e.g. allow flight mode or deactivate build costs.

We have servers in Germany (Frankfurt am Main) and in USA (Salt Lake City).

Customers can set up manual or automatic backups for a minimal fee.

Satisfactory Server Hosting: Build the factory of your dreams

FICSIT Inc. expects efficiency. And nothing kills efficiency more than a server that buckles under large factories. At RespawnHost, we offer you Satisfactory servers that are specially optimized for the late-game. Whether you are just landing or have already covered the entire planet with conveyor belts - our hardware keeps up with your production.

Why rent a Satisfactory server at RespawnHost?

Satisfactory is extremely CPU and RAM heavy, especially when thousands of machines are running simultaneously. Our servers use high-clocked processors and fast DDR4/DDR5 RAM to keep the simulation speed (tickrate) stable even with gigantic factories. No rubberbands on the hypertubes, no delay when building.

Features for FICSIT Pioneers

  • High-Performance Hardware: Optimized for high object counts and complex logistics networks
  • Version Switching: Easily switch between Early Access and Experimental Branch
  • Savegame Manager: Upload your local savegames or download server saves
  • Automatic Updates: Your server always stays up to date
  • DDoS Protection: So your production never stands still
  • Full SFTP Access: Manage your configs and saves directly

Our Control Panel makes server management child's play. Restart the server, change the region, or adjust the `ServerSettings.ini` - all with a few clicks. Our support team knows the pitfalls of the Unreal Engine and helps you if the Space Elevator gets stuck.

Fairness redefined: The Pay-Per-Use Principle

Optimizing a factory takes hours, but sometimes you have to sleep (FICSIT doesn't say so, but we do). Why pay for the server when no one is online? With our Pay-Per-Use model, you simply turn off the server when the shift is over. Your credit remains, and you only pay for real playtime.
